UPDATE- I have learned that Mike Yates was not forced into maintenance, but instead was placed as an In School Suspension Teacher.

Just received this snipit from a facebook post.

My husband was an employee through Dickenson County for 28 years and 3 months he was the masonry teacher through the career center and was told when they went back after christmas he would not have a class he would ether have to retire or work in maintenance which was the same thing electricity teacher Ray Mullins and also Mike Yates was done the same way. Gary had to retire and draws less than 1300.00 a month through vrs.

Is this all not becoming clear to the citizens of Dickenson County? We can keep EVERY SINGLE central office job but cut program after program. How many of you knew they dissolved the masonry program before reading these comments? Every building that has or will be built in this county will have a mason involved in it and we cut this program, what in the world are we thinking?
