But not as Interesting as This!

This is another email from Mrs. Robinson to her staff. Notice choice B in the options for saving the county money is "Salary Reduction across the board instead of Reduction of Staff".What makes this interesting is this direct quote from her latest contract.

So to sum this up she has the audacity to ask her staff to take a pay cut but is ok with having this clause in her contract. I am sure she would say that she would not cut her staff without cutting her own salary, but she already has taken benefits exclusive to her and pay raises her staff did not get. Rich get richer, while the rest of us try to survive!

Good Evening, Staff Members,

The most current budget number indicates that the Board of Supervisors is considering a reduction of $900,000 to the school division's request of $6.9 million. With 85.68% of the school division's budget appropriated to payroll and payroll benefits, the majority of the cuts will have to come from reduction of staff and elimination of programs. The Board of Supervisors are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 to further discuss the budget. We will keep you informed as we receive further information on the budget cuts.

As we attempt to address this potential budget deficit, we are seeking your input to identify your priorities as options are considered: Some of the possible options for your consideration and feedback are:

A. Reduction of Professional and Support Staff

B. Salary Reduction across the board instead of Reduction of Staff

C. Increase Insurance Premiums for Employees

E. Changing Health Insurance Coverage Plans

F. Closure of an Elementary School

G. Consideration of other options or recommendations to address the budget cut
