During a January 2016 trip to Richmond County leaders made some very questionable spending decisions. While the three Board of Supervisor members are new to their post, the rest of the people in question are not. While I am not saying to give the newbies a pass on this, we all have to realize that it is the norm to do as the Romans do while in Rome, at least on the first trip. These trips are arranged by the county
administrators office, so that is where we need to start. Someone needs to go and request a copy of last year's legislative trip receipts.
