As citizens of Dickenson County have been ask lately to consider tax increases to ease the financial burden, it has recently been learned that the Central Office of the school system may be a little over staffed, which is pulling money from the county.

Over the last few years Dickenson County's funding from both the Federal and State governments have been dropping, along with the enrollment. Why has the Central Office staff stayed the same? Why are they impervious to these cuts.
Under Mrs. Robinson's watch the school system has lost over 90 full time positions and cut numerous programs for the students, especially the career and technical programs, so why not the administrative staff. Is it fair to ask the citizens to pay extra taxes when this office is not willing to make cuts?
